Personal Profile

Gabriella Alessio is President of Precision MedOrtho, where she leads business strategy, operations, and execution for the company's pediatric orthopedic device pipeline. An engineer-turned-business-leader, Gabriella pairs a rigorous technical foundation in biomedical engineering with hands-on experience scaling FDA-regulated medical device manufacturing. Combined with her MBA, she brings a rare combination of design fluency and operational discipline required to move early-stage hardware from napkin sketch to reality.

Gabriella has experience leading end-to-end manufacturing scale-up for a venture-backed biologic and Class I medical device, driving a 400% improvement in manufacturing yield and cutting shipping costs by more than half through a self-built Excel-based ERP system. She has a passion for advancing medical technology through intentional design and efficient execution.

Prior to transitioning into medical research and entrepreneurship, Gabriella was trained as both an American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthists Orthotic Fitter and an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). Working in a clinical setting gave her an appreciation for the various stakeholders that exist for medical devices and has directed all of her future designs.

Entrepreneurship has been integral to Gabriella's purpose, especially in college where she founded Devils Prosthetics. She led cross-functional R&D and business teams to deliver a 3D-printed, trans-radial myoelectric prosthetic, fully funding the student venture by winning ASU's Elite Pitch Competition twice.

Gabriella enjoys spending her free time staying active by learning various styles of dance with her favorite being country swing and building various designs in her ever evolving shop.
